Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has handed late
call-ups to Godwin Saviour and Ebube Duru for the team’s friendly against
Algeria.
Injuries to the trio of Ahmed Musa, Samuel Chukwueze and
Emmanuel Dennis forced Peseiro to hand late invitations to Saviour and Duru.
Dennis was invited as a replacement Henry Onyekuru but he
will now miss out of the game.
Forward, Saviour plays for Portuguese SuperLiga club, Casa
Pia.
The 26-year-old has represented Nigeria at the U-17, U-20
and U-23 levels.
Duru, who plays for Nigeria Professional Football League champions,
Rivers United has been handed his maiden call-up to the Super Eagles.
The left-back was part of the Rivers United side that lost
1-0 to Watanga FC of Liberia in a CAF Champions League fixture on Sunday.
