Lagos State Police Command has intercepted two commercial buses loaded with a large quantity of live cartridges.
Also found were three dismantled motorcycles and some personal effects.
Three suspects were arrested by police operatives at Poromope Estate, Ijede Road in Ikorodu.
They are Tukur Abdullah, 35, Muazu Telim, 50, and Dahiru Idris, 36, Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin announced.
The spokesman said a preliminary investigation showed that the trio were on their way to Katsina State.
The recovered exhibits as well as the vehicles, with registration numbers KMC 438 YK and KMC 394 XF, have been impounded.
The matter has been transferred to the Lagos State Command Headquarters in Ikeja for further investigations.
