The Jigawa State Deputy Governor and gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC in the state, Malam Umar Namadi has described the court judgement affirming his candidature as a victory for all members of the party.
He made the remarks on his Facebook page while reacting to the judgment by the federal higher court sitting Dutse which dismissed a suit filed against him as the APC candidate.
It was reported that the federal high court dismissed a suit filed by one of the party gubernatorial aspirants for the 2023 general election, Faruku Adamu challenging the gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Namadi said, ” I received with joy the verdict of the Federal High Court, Dutse, which affirmed my candidature and that of all the candidates vying for several elective positions under our great party in the upcoming 2023 elections”
“I do not see myself as a victor, nor our party leader, Farouk Adamu as a vanquished; it’s a win-win for both of us and our party”
“It is therefore my solemn belief that as one of the revered figures that laboured for the formation of our great party, Hon. Farouq’s commitment shall not be in vain”
“I urge all party faithful to maintain decorum as our party remains one and united family”
“As we approach the electioneering period, I call on all stakeholders to remain focused towards our victory come March, 2023”
