Three people died on Sunday when a car rammed into a truck on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
It was learnt that the crash occurred at about 5:50 pm, around Oniworo area of Ogun State.
It was gathered that nine men were involved in the fatal crash.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said, “Four persons were injured and unfortunately, three persons were recorded dead.”
FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said a Toyota Matrix with registration number, WWD621AE rammed into a Howo Sino truck marked, GGE614XN.
“The suspected causes of the crash were tyre burst and excessive speed on the part of the Toyota matrix driver, who lost control after the tyre burst and rammed into the truck,” Okpe confirmed.
She added that those who sustained injuries had been taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, while the three corpses were deposited at FOS, Isara morgue.
While commiserating with families of the crash victims, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar, charged motorists to always carry out vehicle routine check to ensure the good condition of their vehicles.
