Members of Ketu Professionals have reacted to the appointment of Dr Adeoye Odedeji as the substantive Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The group said Governor Dapo Abiodun was the first to appoint an indigene of Ogun West as the substantive Rector of the first Ogun government-owned polytechnic.
In their appreciation to Abiodun, the Ketu Professionals said Abiodun had, with Odedeji’s appointment, raised the bar on justice, equity and inclusiveness as hallmarks of governance.
According to the letter signed by their Secretary-General, Dr. Olusegun Olaniyi, the group described the development as another bold step taken to promote progress and harmony across the different zones that constitute Ogun State in line with the ideals of its founding fathers.
They commended the Governor for the decision, which they said reinforced his love for the recruitment of competent hands into the management of the affairs of the State.
The letter read: “We the entire members of Ketu Professionals write to warmly appreciate Your Excellency on the appointment of Dr Adeoye David Odedeji as the substantive Rector of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
“We like to note that the appointment of Dr Odedeji has further reinforced Your Excellency’s knack for the recruitment of thorough-bred and competent hands into the management of the affairs of the State in different spheres towards delivering quality dividends of democracy to the people.
“Much more, we are particularly delighted that with the appointment of Dr Odedeji, an indigene of Ketu as the first Rector of the State Polytechnic from Ogun West, you have raised the bar on justice, equity and inclusiveness as hallmarks of governance under your able leadership.
