Fifteen passengers on the 16-passenger boat that capsized on July 8 at Ojo area of Lagos State have been found dead.
General Manager, Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Mr Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, confirmed that 11 bodies were recovered on Sunday, in addition to four bodies recovered on Saturday.
Emmanuel disclosed that Search and Rescue teams of LASWA, the National Inland Waterways, Nigerian Marine Police and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, are still searching for the only remaining body.
The full capacity boat was heading to Ibeshe in Ojo area when tragedy struck.
The tide of the water drifted the boat to a stationary barge, which caused it to overturn.
