House of Representatives member, Akin Alabi, says he believes in the competence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Mr Alabi had tweeted a poster campaigning for Mr Tinubu,
which attracted comments from his followers on the microblogging platform.
A Twitter user, @idoreyin14, asked Mr Alabi, “With due
respect sir. Party aside. Can you let Tinubu run your family affairs? If you
weren’t in APC, would you gladly vote Tinubu?”
Responding, Mr Alabi said: “I can let Tinubu run my life. I will even beg him to run it. Shows how much I believe in him. Even if I was a member of Labour Party, I would still support him.”

Campaigning to build on President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy,
Mr Tinubu emerged presidential candidate for the APC in a party primary held in
June.
Like Buhari, Mr Tinubu’s frail health remains a sticking
point against his touted ambition to direct the affairs of Africa’s most
populous nation.
Mr Tinubu’s frail health reminds Nigerian voters of Mr
Buhari’s first term as president, during which time he spent many months
outside the country attending to his health.
The former Lagos governor will have to convince his critics
and Nigerian electorates who do not appear ready to have another leader sick
president, that he is capable and will pilot Nigeria’s gruelling affairs.
