Nnamdi Innocent and Blessing Oborodudu have been named captains of Team Nigeria ahead of the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games holding in Birmingham.
Innocent is one of the leading men’s powerlifters in the team.
Popular women’s wrestler, Oborodudu was a Gold medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
She also won a Silver medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The flagbearers for Team Nigeria at opening ceremony are: Nnamdi Chinecherem Prosper and veteran women powerlifter, Oluwafemiayo Folashade.
The opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games will hold at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, United Kingdom on Thursday (today).
