Real Madrid on Monday, officially unveiled Antonio Rudiger as their new signing.
The German defender joins the LaLiga champions as a free agent after leaving Chelsea this summer.
Los Blancos have revealed that Rudiger will take their No 22 shirt.
His squad number follows a familiar theme for the 29-year-old, as he was previously No 2 at Chelsea.
Rudiger has inherited his jersey from Isco, with the Spanish midfielder leaving as a free agent this summer.
The shirt was also worn by Argentine forward Angel Di Maria between 2010 and 2015 and World Cup winner Xabi Alonso in 2009/2010.
