Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Sunday’s
Super Sunday clash against Liverpool is not a do-or-die affair.
The Premier League champions host second-placed Liverpool at
the Etihad, with only one point separating England’s top two teams.
A win for either City or the Reds will be massive and will
most likely decide the title winners for 2021/2022.
However, Guardiola insists if they lose, his men will go
again next season.
The Spaniard told Sky Sports: “What can happen? Lose a game?
And lose the Premier League title? Then we’ll just try again next year.”
Guardiola added: “I will be sad if we lose a game not being
ourselves.
“But if we are who we are and the opponent can win – it’s
ok. We are fortunate to live in this moment. Maybe I should feel the pressure
now, but I don’t.”
