Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick, has given reasons as to why the Red Devils were defeated by Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The defeat has further dented the Red Devils chances of finishing top four in the Premier League this season.
United struggled to make any impact in the game after Anthony Gordon’s 27th minute opener for Everton.
Everton goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, also made a sharp late save to deny Cristiano Ronaldo what would have been a scarcely deserved equaliser.
“If you don’t score a single goal in 95 minutes we have to be disappointed,” the former RB Leipzig boss told Sky Sports.
“We conceded a deflected shot and lost a bit of our composure.
“The second half we were trying to add creativity with substitutions but we didn’t always take the right decision.
“They [Everton] were defending with their players in the last 35 minutes. We didn’t find the right player at the right moment. We didn’t have enough players in the box when we played crosses.”
The German manager further blamed the defeat to his team’s lack.of physicality in front of goal, insisting that Manchester United did not do.enough to get into the Everton box.
