Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that
Paul Pogba is leaving the club in the summer.
The France midfielder’s game against Liverpool in midweek
will be his last game for the Red Devils after he limped out following a calf
injury.
His contract expires this summer, and according to Rangnick,
there is no chance the Frenchman would renew his contract because the incoming
manager may not be needing his services at Old Trafford.
The German gaffer, who addressed the press ahead of
Manchester United’s clash against Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday, said,
“As it seems right now, he will not renew his contract and, I don’t know, maybe
the club or (incoming boss) Erik (Ten Hag) will also not want to renew the
contract. I don’t know.
“But it’s most likely that he won’t be here anymore next
season.”
Red Devils’ fans recently booed the 29-year-old during
United’s 3-2 victory over Norwich.
The World Cup winner was booed off the pitch, and the
£90million man responded by cupping his ears at full-time.
