Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sport, Sunday Dare, has urged
the Super Eagles interim manager, Austin Eguavoen, and his players to put their
anger on the Black Stars of Ghana when both teams clash in a 2022 FIFA World
Cup playoff.
Nigeria and Ghana will clash on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium
in Kumasi.
The Super Eagles will then host Ghana in the second leg on
Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola National (MKO) Stadium in Abuja.
“Thank you sincerely for turning up for Nigeria,” Dare told
NFF TV while addressing the Austin Eguavoen-led coaching crew and Super Eagles
players inside the main bowl of the stadium on Wednesday morning.
“We have put Cameroon and the Cup of Nations behind us and
the message after Cameroon is that if I could remember, I said let us visit our
anger on Ghana.
“We are not going to Ghana for a draw, so you guys just do
your thing. It’s football.”
