Nigerians students have expressed frustration as the
Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, declared a nationwide strike on
Monday.
The strike was declared during a press conference addressed
by the President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, following the Federal
Government’s inability to implement previous agreements.
According to ASUU National President, the strike will be
“comprehensive and total”
Students have taken to social media lamenting the pains of attending public universities in Nigeria.
Some lamented about rent while others called out the present
government for failure to meet demands.
Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POSt from Twitter;

waste of time you fit have children before you graduate. Make una go learn
skill wey go give you money during this time. Bless.”

to your staff/universities.”

resources to source their wards from school with all these issues Which after
everything the person might not even get a job. wasting our time with strikes.”
