The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Peter Waweru Kamaku as the centre referee for Nigeria’s final Group D clash with Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday at the ongoing AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
Kamaku, who is from Kenya, had earlier taken charge of the Group C clash between Comoros and Gabon.
The 39–year-old has a doctorate degree in Pure Mathematics and is a university lecturer.
Kamaku will be assisted by compatriot Gilbert Cheruiyot (assistant referee 1), Mozambican Arsenio Maringule (assistant referee 2) and Moroccan Redouane Jiyed (fourth official).
The match commissioner will be Youssouf Guedi Guirreh from Djibouti.
The Super Eagles have six points from two games and lead the group ahead of Egypt.
They will be looking to seal top spot with either a draw or victory against Guinea-Bissau.
