Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick has provided updates
on Paul Pogba’s injury.
The German said the Frenchman is not expected to return to
action soon and will remain unavailable and unable to train for another ‘four
or five weeks’.
The interim manager said that Pogba will not return to
training for ‘at least a month’.
The France international suffered a groin injury while on
international duty with his national team in November and has spent time in
Dubai rehabilitating.
Apart from the injury, Pogba is still deciding whether to
extend his stay at Old Trafford or not.
There are rumours that the 28-year-old could leave Old
Trafford in June with Juventus, Real Madrid and other top European clubs
monitoring the situation.
Rangnick told the club’s official website: “As far as I
know, I was told a week ago, it would be a minimum of at least another four or
five weeks before he [Pogba] is fit for training again.
“I saw him this morning before the training session, he was
in the locker room, and I hope he will be back as soon as possible.
“Right now, he’s not been part of the training group and,
even if he was back whenever, two, three or four weeks, it will take some time.
“It’s one thing to be training fit but, on the other hand,
he needs to be fit for the match and competition in either the Premier League
or the Champions League and this will still take some time.”
