Tottenham Hotspur boss, Antonio Conte, will be without two
key players when his team tackle Chelsea in tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final
first-leg tie due to injury.
Conte confirmed this during his pre-match press conference
ahead of the Chelsea clash at Stamford Bridge.
The two players Conte will be without for the Chelsea clash
are Ryan Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn.
Tottenham head to the match following a 1-0 Premier League
win against Watford in their previous game.
“Ryan is coming back very soon, but we don’t want to take
risks,” Conte told Spurs TV.
“We will wait for the game in the FA Cup [Morecambe at home
on Sunday].”
Conte added: “Ryan’s situation is better than Steven
Bergwijn’s. I think in the next game in the FA Cup he will be available.
“For Steve, we’ve to pay more attention, because his problem
was in the calf, and with a calf, you’ve to pay more attention and wait a bit
to have him available.”
The kick-off time for Chelsea vs Tottenham is 8.45 pm.
