Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has admitted that the Super
Eagles performance was not good enough during their round of 16 battle against
Tunisia on Sunday.
The Carthage Eagles defeated Nigeria 1-0 to book their place
in the last eight of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Most of the Nigerian players are already at their various
club sides after the painful loss and Musa, who was a late substitute during
the game, said the team gave their 100 percent but it was not enough for the
day.
“In life, things wouldn’t always go the way we want them to
and that’s something we have to accept however hard it is,” Musa tweeted on
Tuesday afternoon.
“We gave our 100% and unfortunately that wasn’t good enough
to take us through.
“We won’t give up, we will do better next time. Thanks for
all your support and prayers.”
