Nigeria interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen has told his
players not to stop winning ahead of the knockout stages.
The Super Eagles qualified as Group D winners with the
maximum points.
They will now face the best third-placed team from Groups B,
E or F in the Round of 16.
However, the three-time champions are already seen as
favourites to win the trophy again, alongside hosts Cameroon.
But for Eguavoen, he is keen on taking it one game at a
time.
“I would say we take it game after game. We respect our
opponents but we go full force and try to get maximum points.
“First of all, the mission is, ‘Don’t lose the game.’
“And then after that we can try to get the goals to win,”
Eguavoen said after the 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.
