Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips is set to snub Manchester United this summer and join Liverpool instead.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing the 26-year-old in what would be a major summer transfer.
According to The Sun, Phillips’ loyalty towards his current club, Leeds United, has made him snub a move to Old Trafford and now Liverpool will capitalise on that and bring him to Anfield.
Phillips believes joining Liverpool would better aid his career progression and would not tarnish his reputation at Elland Road.
The midfielder is under contract at Leeds until June 2024 and is valued at around £60 million.
Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick, was said to have spotted Philips among three key potential signings that could fix the Red Devils’ ongoing issues in the midfield.
