Egypt coach, Carlos Queiroz, on Wednesday, included
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny in his final
squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations set to kick off on January 9 in
Cameroon.
The seven-time champions will look to extend their record
with 25 players in its squad, including Aston Villa forward Mahmoud Hassan
“Trezeguet” who had been out of club football due to a knee injury.
Egypt won their last AFCON in the 2010 edition hosted by
Angola.
The Pharaos are grouped alongside Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea Bissau in Group D, and will begin their campaign against the Super Eagles on January 11.
