Real Madrid has confirmed the appointment of Alberto Toril
as the new coach of their women’s first team.
Toril replaced David Aznar after his contract was
terminated.
The LaLiga giants disclosed this in a statement via their
website on Monday.
Toril had coached Real Madrid Castilla in the past.
The statement read: “Real Madrid C.F has decided to
terminate David Aznar’s contract with the club as the women’s first-team coach.
Real Madrid would like to thank him for the work he has done, his commitment
and the professionalism he has demonstrated at all times.
“Real Madrid C. F. would also like to confirm the
appointment of Alberto Toril as the new coach of the women’s first team for the
remainder of this season and the following one, until 30 June 2023.
“Alberto Toril has played for Real Madrid and coached Real
Madrid Castilla, as well as other youth teams in our academy, winning promotion
to the Second Division in the 2011-2012 season.”
