Former Heads of State, General Ibrahim Babangida and General
Abdulsami Abubakar, have expressed confidence in the Nigerian Army’s effort in
tackling the insecurity confronting the country.

Relations, in a statement, said the former leaders disclosed this when the
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, visited them separately in
Minna on Monday.

tackle the security challenges.
On his part, Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the unrelenting
drive of the COAS in confronting the threats at all fronts.
Abubakar added that Yahaya assumed command at a time the
country was being confronted with multifaceted security challenges.
He commended the COAS for engaging major stakeholders across
the nation in the search for public support and cooperation to effectively
enhance ongoing military operations.
He also lauded the Yahaya for his pragmatic leadership and
