Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his
silence on the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the club’s boss.
Man United sacked Solskjaer on Sunday and placed Michael
Carrick in a caretaker capacity while they search for an interim or permanent
boss.
Solskjaer’s sack followed a poor run of results with losses
to Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City, and the most embarrassing being the
4-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday.
The 48-year-old was the leading striker at Old Trafford when Ronaldo first joined the club 12 years ago and played a key role in bringing the Portuguese back to the club in the summer.
“It’s been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and
he’s been my coach since I came back to Man. United,” Ronaldo tweeted on
Monday, 24 hours after the Norwegian was dismissed.
“But most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish
him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him. Good luck, my friend!
You deserve it.”
