Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will continue to take penalties for the team.
The Gunners skipper has missed his two efforts from 12 yards.
Aubameyang saw his initial kick saved by Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez, before converting the rebound.
However, against Watford on Sunday, Ben Forster stopped the first kick and held onto the ball.
Emile Smith Rowe eventually scored for Arsenal in the second half to seal a 1-0 win.
Questions have been asked of whether Aubameyang should be made to step aside, allowing Alexandre Lacazette to take over, but Arteta says he has no intention of tinkering with his plans.
Asked about whether Aubameyang will remain Arsenal’s go-to man from the sport, Arteta told reporters: “He will stay on penalties if he’s happy to do so.
“It’s part of your career and job to miss penalties and we will try to help him.”
