Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has visited the scene of a fire incident that occurred in Ibadan.
It was gathered that two vehicles were been burnt in the fire incident that occurred on Thursday.
The fire incident according to sources, occurred when a petroleum tanker reportedly went up in flames at Agodi gate area of Ibadan.
The incident occurred few metres away from the Ibadan Zonal office of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
Sources said the tanker which was laden with Premium Motor Spirit fell and burst into flames.
It was gathered that some vehicles parked within the area also ignited when the tanker went up in flame.
Makinde who visited the scene of the accident on Friday described it as unfortunate.
The Governor said the agency in charge of traffic control in the state should return normalcy and ensure free vehicular movement.
“This is actually unfortunate and something has to be done quickly.
“And we need to have the cooperation of both the drivers and owners of such vehicles because we cannot keep having this kind of damage in our state.”
