The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has permitted
the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to admit only 5,000 fans, for the Super
Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic on Thursday.
The game will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in
Surulere, Lagos.
The kick-off has been scheduled for 5pm West African time.
Nigeria has already played one of their qualifiers at the
venue, a 2-0 win over Liberia, with Kelechi Iheanacho scoring both goals.
Gernot Rohr will be banking on home advantage to secure
three points against CAR, as the three-time African champions continue their
quest to play in the World Cup in Qatar.
The Super Eagles players and coaches will then fly into
Douala on Saturday morning, for the reverse fixture that will kick off at 2pm
Cameroon time on Sunday, and fly to Abuja immediately after the game.
