The Federal Government has exempted fully vaccinated
travelers from the mandatory one week isolation.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the
development on Tuesday in a Facebook post.
Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee, Boss
Mustapha announced the revised protocol on October 15.
The Secretary to Government of the Federation said
vaccinated in-bound passengers will only be required to do a COVID-19 PCR test
two days after arrival.
Mustapha noted that unvaccinated and partially vaccinated
passengers must observe 7-day self-isolation and do a PCR test on days 2 and 7
after entry.
Persons arriving on “Business” trip or on official duty
staying less than 7 days must be fully vaccinated.
They are expected to produce negative PCR result 72 hours
before boarding, and conduct a PCR test on day 2 in Nigeria.
