In line with directives from the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja, for the commencement of a new orientation exercise, the NYSC in Osun State has opened the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, for the 2021 Batch B, Stream 2 Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) for the three weeks exercise.
The Osun State NYSC also stated that it was putting various measures in place in order to ensure strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety regulations by the PCMs as stipulated by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
In an announcement made available to newsmen by the Osun State NYSC on Friday, it disclosed that amongst the COVID-19 measures put in place include: temperature check, the disinfectant tunnel and the mandatory COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test that the prospective youth corps members and camp officials would be subjected to.
The announcement also revealed that all arrangements had been made to make the orientation exercise stress free so that corps members that have been deployed to the state for the three weeks orientation exercise would feel the warmth presented by Osun and therefore decide to continue their service year in state.
Recall that the orientation exercise is one of the four cardinal programmes of the scheme designed to equip, mould and prepare young graduates for effective service to the country.
