Belgium coach, Roberto Martinez, has claimed speculation linking him with the Barcelona job are just rumours.
This follows Ronald Koeman’s refusal to answer questions at a press conference on Wednesday.
Barca has made a poor start to the new season, after a summer where they lost Lionel Messi on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Koeman is now under heavy pressure at Camp Nou and Martinez is one of the names being linked as a possible replacement.
The former Everton and Wigan boss is believed to be president Joan Laporte’s preferred candidate for the role.
But speaking to Eurosport, Martinez said: “Well as you can imagine there is nothing, nothing to comment for me.
“Obviously rumours, they are always there, it’s normal in football.
“When you lose three games the rumours are that you are going to lose your job. When things are going well, you are doing good results, the rumours will always be there, but it’s nothing for me to comment on at this point.”
