Bayern Munich have begun exploring the possibility of signing Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea, Goal reports.
The Bundesliga champions are interested in the German defender along with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Rudiger is into the final months of his current contract with Chelsea and is yet to agree to an extension.
Bayern have been in touch with his agent and brother, Sahr Senesie, but the talks are purely preliminary at this stage.
Julian Nagelsmann considers the 28-year-old as a good replacement for Niklas Sule, who might decide to leave next summer.
Like Rudiger, Sule’s deal also expires at the end of the season, and he has put extension talks on hold.
