Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the
Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, has pointed out that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of
the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, would not have been agitating for
secession if political leaders were doing well.
Mbaka also noted that the politicians are watching while the
northern part of country is gradually being taken over by terrorists.
The cleric, while addressing his church members on Sunday,
also said that Nnamdi Kanu is not the only one agitating, adding that everyone
including pastors, police, army, are all crying inside and are afraid of
speaking out to avoid being killed.
“I cannot support terrorism. There is agitation everywhere. All the men of God are agitating silently. The police and the army are agitating,” he said.
“Do you blame them? If they talk, they will be killed. In
the mosque, there is agitation.
“If Nigeria is doing very well, will Kanu emerge? I am for
justice, equity and fair play. Look at what is happening in the North, the
north is finished.”
Nnamdi Kanu, who was reportedly arrested by Kenya
authorities and handed over to the Nigerian government a few weeks ago, is
currently being detained at the Department of State Services, DSS, headquarters
in Abuja.
