The All
Progressives Congress (APC) has released a timetable of how its
congresses across all levels will play out.
The party said its local
government congresses will be held on August 14, ward congresses will take
place on July 24 and state congresses are scheduled for September 18.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday approved the review of the
timeline for the APC caretaker/extraordinary convention planning committee
(CECPC).
Al-Mustapha Medaner, APC director of organisation, in a statement on Sunday, published the full timetable.
PURCHASE OF FORMS
At the ward level, the cost for
the purchase of form for the position of chairman is N10,000, vice-chairman,
secretary and treasurer cost N5,000 and other offices cost N2,000.
At the LGA level, the cost for
the purchase of form for the position of chairman is N25,000, vice-chairman,
secretary and treasurer cost N15,000 and other offices cost N10,000.
At the state level, the cost for
the purchase of form for the position of chairman is N100,000, vice-chairman,
secretary and treasurer cost N50,000 and other offices cost N30,000.
ACTIVITIES FOR THE WARD/LGA
CONGRESSES
Purchase of forms for the ward
congresses will commence on July 1 and end on July 7.
Inauguration of the ward and LGA
congresses as well as screening and screening appeals committee will be held
July 10.
Screening of aspirants for the
ward positions will commence from July 12 to July 16 while the inauguration of
the ward and LGA congress appeals committee will be held on July 19.
Ward congresses will be held on
July 24 and appeals arising from ward congresses will take place from July 26
to July 29.
Purchase of forms for LGA party
positions will hold between July 26 and July 30 while the screening of
aspirants for LGA positions will commence on July 19 and end on July 26.
LGA congresses will be held on
August 14 while appeals arising from the congresses will take place between
August 16 and 20.
ACTIVITIES FOR STATE
CONGRESSES
Purchase of forms for state
executives will commence from August 23 to August 27 while the inauguration of
the screening and appeals committee will be held on August 30.
Screening of aspirants for state
executives will commence from September 6 to September 8 while appeals arising
from screening of aspirants will commence from September 12 to September 15.
State congresses will be held on
September 18 while appeals arising from the congresses will commence on
September 19 and end on September 21.
