Her media aide, Bala Muhammed, who made this known in a chat with our correspondent, said the corpse of late Aisha who is fondly called Mama Taraba, will arrive in Jalingo on Sunday for burial.
The funeral, which was reliably gathered, would take place at the palace of the Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Tafida, according to a palace source, has been scheduled for 5p.m
Apart from the sympathizers who our state correspondent noticed to have been trooping in and out of the family house of the late astute female politician, tributes have as well not ceased from pouring in since the news of her demise filtered the air.
Apart from the state governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku who had earlier paid tribute to her, other prominent Tarabans were observed to have as well joined the long queue of persons from the state paying tributes .
Among such persons is the former Minister of Labour and Productivity, senator Joel Danlami Ikenya.
While describing her as “an accomplished civil servant, astute politician and patriot” he was also of the view that “she was compassionate, bold, loyal and deeply committed to a better Nigeria.”
“Gone but not forgotten ” the late politician, as made known by Ikenya, was a highly principled and peaceful individual whose views were widely respected in many circles.”
Aligning his weight to that of Ishaku, her death, he said “is a huge loss to Nigeria and the people of the State adding that ” her ideas and vision for a United Taraba will be pursued with unexplainable energy.”
Also on their parts, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Andeta’rang Irammae, said as an “accomplished Civil Servant, Political Icon and a Grass-Root mobilizer was a founding member of the Party in Taraba State” adding that “as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, she made Taraba State proud by her landmark achievements.”
