Leicester City have apologized to Chelsea for Daniel
Amartey’s actions in the dressing room after their FA Cup win at the Wembley on
Saturday, according to talkSPORT.
Daniel Amartey was accused of ‘disrespect’ after he chucked
Chelsea pennant to the floor as Leicester City celebrated in the dressing room.
The FA Cup winners have now apologised ahead of the Premier
League clash between the two teams on Tuesday.
According to talkSPORT, the Blues have also accepted the apology.
It was Leicester City’s first FA Cup ever which came through
a second-half rocket from Youri Tielemans.
The players lifted the trophy and then returned to the
dressing room to continue the party and with some squad members streaming on
Instagram Live, the celebrations were available for all fans to see.
Amartey took this opportunity to jump in front of one
camera, pick up the Chelsea pennant exchanged by the captains pre-kick off, and
hurl it over his shoulder.
It landed on a heap on the floor.
While rival fans very much enjoyed the moment, Chelsea supporters
on social media were not impressed with the video.
Some even suggested the Blues should use it as a motivation
for their game against Leicester on Tuesday.
As things stand, Leicester sit third on 66 points while
Chelsea are fourth on 65.
Liverpool lead the chase in fifth with 63 points.
