EPL: Two Man United legends inducted into Premier League’s Hall of Fame

Two Manchester United legends, Eric Cantona and Roy Keane, have become the latest players to be inducted into the English Premier League, EPL, Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame, which was launched last month, is described by the EPL’s official website as “the highest individual honour awarded to players by the Premier League.”

Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer became the first two inductees on April 26, with another six set to be voted in this year.

A shortlist of 23 retired players was released last month, allowing the fans to vote for who they believe should join the Hall of Fame.

Two of the six to join in 2021 have now been announced, with Cantona and Keane being voted in.

Speaking about the honour via the Premier League’s official Twitter handle on Tuesday, Cantona said: “I am very happy and very proud, and at the same time, I am not surprised.

“I think you have nearly 30 players who could be elected, but for me, it is different. If you have to elect one, it is me.

“The other ones are all great. Me? I am exceptional.”
