The Biafra Nations League, BNL, has warned the military and other security agencies to stay away from its activities and stop making attempts to arrest its leaders.
BNL said it would throw the entire Bakassi Peninsula, Cross River State in chaos if anything happens to any of its key members.
The group made the threats while raising an alarm over the alleged attempt by the army and the anti-cultism squad of the Nigeria Police in Ikang to arrest its National Leader, Princewill Chimezie Richard on Tuesday.
The Deputy National Leader of BNL, Ebuta Akor Takon who disclosed the warning in a statement to newsmen on Wednesday said “The Security operatives invaded St. Mary’s Hotel, Ekpri Ikang yesterday night suspecting that the BNL was holding a meeting there.
“Our members do not meet in a hotel. BNL members are creek people and lives in the creek.
“Should anything happens to the BNL leader or any key officer of the group, that would throw the entire Peninsula into chaos.,” he said.
