Tottenham 1-3 Man Utd: I’m really sorry, Son apologises

Tottenham Hotspur forward, Son Heung-min, has said that he was really sorry for his side’s 3-1 home defeat against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Son, who scored a goal against Man United, said he felt bad because he really wanted to win the encounter.

Man United defeated Jose Mourinho’s side, thanks to goals from Fred, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood.

The defeat against Arsenal means Tottenham are now six points behind fourth-placed West Ham with seven games remaining.

“It’s a really sad afternoon. I am really not bothered about the goal,” Son told Tottenham’s website.

“I really wanted to win, especially after the last game [at Newcastle] when I came on, back from injury, we were leading and drew.

“I don’t know what to say – I’m really sorry about it and feel bad. I know those supporting us are really disappointed – I think they are more disappointed than us so I feel really bad and really sorry about it. I really, really wanted to win – I really do.”
