Former Ag. National Director, Remi Adebayo has announced his resignation and membership withdrawal from the Atiku Care Foundation.
Adebayo, in a resignation letter to Aliyu Bin Abbas, Director-General of ACF on Monday, formally declared his withdrawal of services and membership of the Atiku Care Foundation effective from the 5th of April, 2021.
He also revealed that his redeployment as National Director of Welfare cannot work, adding that he has no previous learning or experience as a caregiver.
The Former Ag. National Director who failed to give further details as to why he was resigning, however, advised that a foundation in the name of the former Vice President should be professionally reorganized for impacts in fulfillment of its mandate.
“I will like to state that my first and subsequent volunteered appointments were anchored on professional calling which progressively saw him serving the Southwest, deputising the erstwhile national Media Director and later in acting capacity as national Director Media and Publicity.
“In all these, I discharged my duties with professionalism and dedication to which the Foundation and onlookers could attest today.
“I am not one with the crave whatsoever for inanities of titles but responsibility which is why my so-called redeployment as National Director of Welfare cannot work with me as I have no previous learning or experience as a caregiver.
“While I will submit and continually subscribe to the vision and leadership of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, I will continue to advocate that a foundation in his name should be professionally reorganised for impacts in fulfillment of its mandate and be rescued from self-marketing.
“Seeing this coming is an understatement, having observed the coldness my insistence to run the ACF professionally as an apolitical organisation in line with the directive of the His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had attracted. I can understand, you Abbas, are a politician, not cut for the civil society.
“I thank you for the opportunity to work with you and wish you the best going forward,” he said.
Recall that Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, Director-General of ACF, earlier relieved Godswin Oshodin, of his duties as ACF spokesman.
Abbas explained that Oshodin’s removal was pursuant to his inactivity and aloofness from the Atiku Care Foundation.
