Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has promised to lead Kano Pillars to win the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, title.
Musa made the vow while receiving his jersey number on Thursday evening at the club’s Secretariat in Kano.
Recall that the former Leicester City winger formally signed a short-term deal with Kano Pillars earlier this week.
The 28-year-old has been without a club since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr last October.
Musa also failed to seal a deal with Premier League side, West Brom last January transfer window.
“I left Pillars over 10-years ago without winning the league then,” Musa said.
“But now, by God’s grace, I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League title.”
Kano Pillars are currently joint-leaders on the NPFL table this season, with 36 points from 19 games.
