Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Osimhen have led the latest batch
of arrivals at the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against
Benin Republic and Lesotho.
The number of players at the team’s camp has increased to
twenty-three ahead of the final rounds of qualification games.
The new arrivals include Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen,
Adekunle Adeleke, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Abayo Iwuala, and John
Noble.
Others are Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo, Tyronne
Ebuehi, Maduka Okoye, Jamiu Collins, Paul Onuachu, Francis Uzoho, and Zaidu
Sanusi.
TheCable had earlier reported the arrival of Ahmed Musa,
William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Ogenekaro Etebo, and Henry
Onyekuru.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who is currently on form for Leicester
City, is the only player yet to arrive as he is expected to join the team soon.
The three-time African champions will face Benin Republic at
Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto Novo on Saturday before playing Lesotho at the
Teslim Balogun Stadium on Tuesday.
After four rounds of matches, Nigeria lead group L with
eight points, one above Benin in second place.
