Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has snubbed the Blues and named
Atlético Madrid as one of the toughest teams to beat in Europe.
Tuchel explained that Atlético Madrid have incredible
quality to attack and play a possession game.
According to him, Diego Simeone’s side are complete because
they rely on discipline and hard-work.
The German said this during his pre-match press conference
on Tuesday ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League last-16 second leg tie against
the La Liga leaders on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea head to the game after beating Atlético Madrid 1-0 in the first leg in Bucharest.
“I believe every club has its DNA, and with Diego Simeone,
Atletico have become one of the toughest teams to beat in Europe over years and
years,” Tuchel said.
“They rely on a disciplined, hard-working, super organised
defence, but at the same time, they’ve incredible quality to attack and play a
possession game.
“For me, it is a very complete squad, and you have to be aware of everything.”
