Former National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh says he went through hell while in prison, and
that the experience has taught him to serve God.
The former spokesperson of PDP said he will remain eternally
grateful to God for preserving him and that he will dedicate the rest of his
life to the service of God and mankind.
Metuh stated this while addressing members of the PDP in
Anambra on Wednesday during a reception organised for him by the party in Awka,
Anambra State capital.
He said, “I thank God for giving me the grace to see you
again. God has shown me His mercy and love. I have been in the deepest ebb of
life and God restored me. I have been with the devil and God saved me. I have
decided to commit my life to serve God throughout the rest of my life.
“I saw hell while I was in prison, but God saved me. I
learnt to be humble while in prison and to forgive people in life,” he said.
He advised members of the party that there is nothing in
this world that one needs to die for. He advised people to begin to see the
world as worthless while urging them to always forgive others.
He urged the PDP in Anambra to be united and forget all the
wrongs done by members.
“Let us not look into the wrong things done to us, rather we
should look into the good things from our members and appreciate them.
We must be united to win this November election in Anambra
state,” he said.
Welcoming Metuh at the PDP office in Awka, chairman of the
party in the state, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu said that Metuh has passed through
hell, noting that every great man must pass through challenges.
