Champions League: Neymar joins top scorers as 16 teams reach knockout stage


Neymar hit a hat-trick as Paris beat İstanbul Başakşehir 5-1 on Matchday 6 to join Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland, Juventus’ Álvaro Morata and Marcus Rashford of Manchester United at the top of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League scoring charts.

Lazio’s Ciro Immobile is in a chasing pack of three players who are one adrift after adding to his tally against Club Brugge on Matchday 6, while Cristiano Ronaldo is among those one further goal back after netting twice for Juventus at Barcelona.

UEFA has announced that the last 16 draw would take place on Monday, December 14.

“Teams who were in same group cannot face each other in last 16; Teams from same country cannot meet before the quarter-finals,” it added.
