Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has restated readiness
to mentor a successor group of younger Nigerians who will take over the
leadership baton from his generation.
Atiku made this known in his goodwill message to
participants at the inauguration of Northern Youth Advocates for Atiku in
Sokoto on Sunday.
Represented by his Special Assistant in the Office of Youth
and Support Groups, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, Atiku said, “Convey my
appreciation and Congratulations. I admire the interest of the youths in
participating in politics and I am committed to grooming them to succeed my
generation.”
Also speaking, Comrade Bello Muazu Kware who is the National
Chairman of the coalition comprising political and students groups bemoaned the
existing leadership gap in the country and charged members of the group on the
need to stay focused by participating in the process at the right time.
Kware assured that the group was prepared to key into the
humanitarian and impactful causes of the Atiku Care Foundation; pledging the
commitment of the organization to advance every opportunity to align with the
vision of Atiku Abubakar.
He noted that the former Vice President remains an iconic
lover of the youth and investor in education and students in general; stating
that only the Atiku leadership can guarantee the future and opportunities
through which the Nigerian youth can flourish.
He assured that the Wazirin Adamawa will not betray the
trust as he keeps labouring for the interest of the younger people which he
believes holds the key, if well guided, to the future and prosperity of the
nation.
