Sule Lamido, a former Governor of Jigawa State, and the
former presidential aspirant says he cannot pray for the success of the
President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progressives Congress, APC government.
The former Governor said this when he appeared on BBC Hausa,
insisting that at 60, the country has recorded a number of successes despite
many setbacks.
“You can’t say in the past 60 years of our independence that
there is no progress, there is,” he said.
“But, honestly, our leaders are not taking advantage of the
natural resources we have in the country to make us progress and live better.”
Lamido maintained that he cannot pray for the success of the
Buhari government because he belongs to the opposition and that Nigerians
called members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, thieves and voted for the
APC.
The former Governor said it is now for Nigerians to weigh
the Buhari administration and see the difference between the past and the
present.
“I am from an
opposition party, no matter how much I love Buhari or his cabinet, I can’t
enter the mosque and pray for him.
“People called us [PDP] thieves and voted for the APC. So,
it is left for them to judge now.
“If Buhari is doing good, they know and let him lead Nigeria
forever, but if he is doing wrong, we are always there to come and take over to
do the right thing.”

You have successfully proven that you are an enemy of Nigeria! You should not be allowed to get close to any public office again. The fact that you are not part of the current government/ruling-party is not a reason to not wish the current government success. Help us identify people like you, please!
ReplyDeleteI second your motion
DeleteSo, when other parties were in opposition what did they do? He just said his opinion.
DeleteInfact, your mumu never do.
God bless you. We can all see the way people we refer to as leaders reason? very unfortunate. All citizens may die of hungers and bad policies, what concerns him is, he is in opposition and he can not pray for his opponent/enemy.
DeleteYet this one want to lead Nigeria.
Very unfortunate.
He did not say an opinion. He made us know the wicked underlining of his heart! When other parties were in opposition, they didn't pray or wish failure for the ruling government, they criticized and demanded good governance. We expect every true citizen to pray and wish for success of ruling government irrespective of their political/religious/ethnic leanings even if they criticize. This is how you fail to recognize and sieve out the bad people among you.

DeleteAlahaji Sule Lamido!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a disgrace and colossal failure. An aberration in a generation that seeks help.
The President is the leader of a nation and not a party. Not praying for his success is tantamount to not praying for success and good of Nigeria.
I thought once anyone is successful in an election, we all should be praying for them, cooperate and support them in order to be able to deliver good governance.
If votes really counts, them they achieve office by popular votes and simple majority.
Why do we have stupid, egocentric and selfish people as popular people in Nigeria?
