Paul Ibe, a senior special assistant to former Vice
President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has accused Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi
State, of spitting on the graves of those that died during the November 2019
governorship election in Kogi State.
Mr. Ibe was reacting to footage showing Gov Bello at the
mega rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC, singing and dancing.
Ibe believes that the governor, who is the Chairman of the
APC Campaign Council for the Saturday’s election, was exporting violence from
Kogi to Ondo.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Ibe wrote, “This is Gov. Yahaya
Bello spitting on the graves of those killed during the Nov 16, 2019 polls by
exporting his mega violence of “tatata” that characterised the Kogi
governorship election to weekend’s #Ondo2020 election during the APC mega
rally.”
Many people believe that the Kogi State governorship
election was marred by violence.
Bello led the APC mega rally earlier on Wednesday as all is
set for the battle between incumbent Governor Rottimi Akeredolu, Agboola Ajayi
of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP and the PDP candidate, Eyitayo Jegede
