Nigeria will take on Algeria on Friday, in the first of two
friendly games planned for this international break.
The Super Eagles are yet to play in 2020 due to COVID-19
interrupting football schedules.
With new dates for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations
qualifiers confirmed, Gernot Rohr will be using the matches against Algeria and
Tunisia, to prepare his squad.
The Eagles and the Desert Foxes have met several times in
the past, the latest being the semi-final of the 2019 AFCON.
The North Africans needed a last-gasp Riyad Mahrez free-kick to see off the Nigerians.
Although the 2-1 final score suggests it was a close
contest, the Algerians were a class part and Rohr will be keen to show how much
they have closed the gap.
Kick off is 7.30pm and the game will be beamed live on AIT
and SuperSport.
