Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has assured that the National
Assembly will get justice for victims of police brutality.
Lawan said the legislature will collaborate with the
executive to ensure that rights abuses by personnel of the disbanded Police
Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) are probed.
The lawmaker, in a statement, noted that the government has
shown commitment to implement the five-point demands of the End SARS
protesters.
He, however, condemned the arson, violence and looting in
several parts of the country.
“As we seek a path out of this regrettable crisis, my heart
goes out to the victims of the reprehensible violence and criminality witnessed
in the last few days in many parts of the country.
“Now that the mindless carnage has distorted the purpose of
the protests, I urge the youths to join hands with the authorities in bringing
an urgent cessation to the violence.
“I call on our patriotic youths to leave the streets as
Government has heard their voices and is addressing their grievances. This is
also necessary to avoid unwittingly continuing to provide covers for the
criminals and fifth columnists in our midst.
“As regards those
criminal elements unleashing terror on our cities under the guise of the
protest, I urge the security agencies to forthwith but with utmost restraint,
restore law and order across the country and bring the criminals to justice.”
Lawan sent condolences to the families of fallen law
enforcement agents and civilians.
He called for a thorough investigation of criminal acts
witnessed in the past two weeks.

The lawmakers headed by Ahmed are part of the problems, I am afraid they cannot offer any solution. They are made up of very wicked me who have actively collaborated with the state to sponsor extra judicial killings and raped the treasury. He is taking nonsense.
