Lionel Messi wants to leave Barcelona for Manchester City,
so he can win the next two Ballon d’Or while playing under Pep Guardiola, Marca
reports.
The 33-year-old has already told the LaLiga club he wants to
leave this summer.
It is believed that he spoke with Guardiola about a reunion
with him in England.
During the conversation, it is claimed he told Guardiola: “I
want to win the next two Ballon d’Or awards and I can only do that with you”.
Four of Messi’s six Ballon d’Or wins came while he played
under Guardiola at the Camp Nou.
However, Barca are holding their ground on the player’s
demand to leave, insisting that the time frame for him to trigger an exit
clause has passed.
